All of Ymir's powers that affect enemies apply a debuff to the enemy called Frostbite. All of Ymir's normal melee strikes against a target afflicted by Frostbite do 50% more damage.
Ice Wall
Ymir summons a wall of ice out of the ground that blocks player movement. Pressing the button again while the wall is active will remove the wall. Cost - 60/65/70/75/80 mana. Cooldown - 14s. Wall Lifetime - 3/4/5/6/7s
Glacial Strike
Ymir smashes his club, doing 90/160/230/300/370 (+60% of your magical power) magical damage to all enemies in front of him, slowing them by 50% for 4 seconds. Applies Frostbite. Cost - 55/60/65/70/75 mana. Cooldown - 15/14/13/12/11s.
Frost Breath
Ymir uses his breath to freeze enemies in blocks of ice, stunning them for the duration. Applies Frostbite. Cost - 60/65/70/75/80 mana. Cooldown - 20s. Duration - 1/1.25/1.5/1.75/2s.
Shards of Ice
Ymir begins to freeze the air around him, causing shards of ice to grow on his back. After a 3 second slowing channel, Ymir erupts out of his frozen state, causing shards of ice to do 600/750/900/1050/1200 (+200% of your magical power) magical damage to all enemies in his range. Applies Frostbite. Cost - 80/90/100/110/120 mana. Cooldown - 90/85/80/75/70s.
Feedback to Ymir's wall change was quite positive, but it didn't really do much for his metrics. Ymir can now re-fire this ability to destroy the wall early, he can re-fire this while under the effects of CC or while dead.
This ability now goes on cooldown only after the wall dies.
Decreased cooldown from 14s to 12/11/10/9/8s.
Shards of Ice
If Ymir dies while channeling this he will still deal damage for his current amount charged.
Fixed an issue where the Bloody Butcher Skin had some inconsistent voice lines.
Fixed an issue where Ymir would gain CC immunity from his ultimate but not be able to escape Persephone Ultimate. He can now escape the vines if he moves out after firing his ultimate.
Ymir is the last, but certainly not the least, Guardian on this list. The Frost Giant is struggling to bring the level of control needed to compete with other guardians. Frost Breath has a significant cooldown, limiting his access to reliable control. We are lowering the cooldown, allowing him to freeze the opposition and shatter through the front lines.
The Father of the Ice Giants has been struggling lately. Similar to Sylvanus, we want to ensure Ymir can rotate effectively against other supports with higher speed and movement abilities.
Additionally, Shards of Ice is gaining an increased slow. Ymir will bring more control to a fight and get a small amount of extra time to channel against fleeing foes.
Hi! Ymir excels as a character that can bully players with his club and strong base damage abilities but he often struggled to maintain a powerful frontline presence in the mid and late game. Frostbite now decreases the damage dealt by those afflicted (in addition to what it already does) which should not only allow Ymir to survive in the front line more reliably, but give him a nice tool to help his team as the game progresses.
