We have been looking closely into power and protection scaling on god abilities. On many cases using nice even numbers results in too weak or too strong scenarios at certain god ranks. Tyr’s Change Stance is mostly used with 1 rank in it, providing a disappointing amount of stats for most of the game, so we are leaning into this being a better one point wonder.
Icons Tyr A03 Stance2
Increased Assault Stance Power from 0/10/20/30/40/50 to 0/18/26/34/42/50 Physical Power
Increased Defense Stance Protections from 0/10/20/30/40/50 to 0/18/26/34/42/50 Protections
Tyr has returned to his classic glory with the addition of his long lost knockup. This has made him a much more viable pick, and now he should be adjusted accordingly. His healing had been buffed in the past to make him a safer pick, but now it clearly feels like too much for the god. His healing on power cleave is being decreased across the board to focus Tyr more toward the aggressive side of the Solo Lane roster.
Power Cleave (Guard Stance)
Healing reduced from 30/55/80/105/130 to 20/45/70/95/120.
No one is above the law. After multiple buffs that seemed impactful, Tyr has still struggled to find a place in the meta. So we are doing a big revert back to Tyr's glory days. Fearless in defensive stance is having its knockup returned! This should allow Tyr to continue pressuring enemies and setting up for his team, even if the offensive Fearless combo fails.
Tyr has also struggled to come back into the Solo Lane, not only with Season 6 but for most of Season 4 and 5. We have done some large adjustments to him but he has still struggled to really make a showing. We want to increase his ability to survive engagements and give him a slight bump to his tankiness against Physical Attackers.
Increased base Physical Protections from 15 to 18.
Power Cleave
Increased Healing from 25/45/65/85/105 to 30/55/80/105/130.
Another Warrior that has been seeing less play this year is Tyr. This Warrior is quite difficult to play and we can see that in the data. His stance changing works differently than other stance changers, and his greatest strength lies in an all-in combo that can be easily negated. To buff Tyr we are introducing an entirely new component to him which adds a lot more flexibility to his kit and adds more playstyle choice. Tyr's Fearless in Guard Stance was a very underwhelming ability, but now it will Disarm opponents and deal slightly more damage. This allows him slow down his lane opponents clear, lets him counter hunter DPS in team fights, and even lets him break enemies' Magi's Cloak bubbles by himself. This added effect should keep Tyr difficult to play, but give him even more ways to succeed when cleverly utilized.
Fearless
Guard Stance of this ability now Disarms enemy gods for 1.5s.
Guard Stance damage is now separated from assault stance.
Guard Stance damage increased from 40/90/140/190/240 to 70/120/170/220/270. (assault stance damage is unchanged)
Tyr's allies should be able to follow up on his Fearless and generally combo with Tyr better than before. Tyr could do more harm than good by CCing enemies and taking them out of harm's way both by movement and by actually making them untargetable. This will no longer be the case.
Fearless
Targets hit by fearless no longer lose their hitbox while being pushed by Tyr and can be damaged.
Even through a few adjustments this year, Tyr struggled to stay relevant compared to other Warriors at all levels of play. His struggle began when we adjusted his heal which was potent in both one-on-one scenarios and for a burst of healing from minions. While it did reduce frustration, it caused him to be poked out of teamfights too quickly. We are bringing some of the potency back to his heal, but are gating it behind Physical Power scaling. In normal builds it will heal a bit more, but to increase sustain further Tyr players will need to sacrifice some bulk.
Power Cleave
Increased Heal Physical Power scaling from 0% to 20%.
Tyr has been under-performing through Season 4, even with the additional utility his Change Stance being free provided. We are reducing the Mana cost on Power Cleave to help him box his opponents more effectively and for a longer period of time, giving him more opportunities to poke and sustain off his enemies.
Power Cleave
Decreased Mana Cost from 50/55/60/65/70 -> 50 at all ranks.
Power Cleave's heal was giving Tyr a lot of sustain in the laning phase making him frustrating to fight against. We have removed the double heal from the first target hit which will limit the sustain he can get in both one on one fights and while clearing the wave. This will make any damage dealt to him more impactful.
Power Cleave
Defensive Stance: No longer Heals twice on the first Target hit. This Ability now caps at 3 Heals.
Tyr is ready to bring down the law. Change Stance will now work in the same manner as Hel and Ullr's stance switch, letting him use this at level one. Tyr players will now have more tools to work with in the first few levels without needing to sacrifice a skill point, opening him up for a lot more options.
Change Stance
This ability may be activated at rank 0. Rank 0 of this ability provides no Passive benefits.
Tyr often struggled to compete early on against other laners, especially since he needed to invest a point into his stance switch. By increasing the base damage on Power Cleave, he should be in a better position to box enemies and clear minions more effectively.
Power Cleave
Increased damage from 60/100/140/180/220 -> 80/115/150/185/220.
