The 3rd hit of The Morrigan's hit chain will explode dealing damage to all enemies within range and weaken all enemies hit.
Enemies afflicted by this will take additional damage over time.
Three Aspects
The Morrigan summons her alternate forms to her side.
When activated again, they focus their power together to damage and stun enemies in front of them.
Dark Omen
Morrigan launches a wave of dark magic at her enemies, dealing damage and Dooming them for 8s.
Doomed enemies will take bonus damage the next time they are hit by one of The Morrigan's damaging abilities, including her passive ability.
Confusion
The Morrigan creates a phantom of herself while becoming stealthed and gaining increased movement speed.
The phantom runs to the target area, deals no damage, and will die if it takes any damage. Morrigan loses any bonuses from this ability if she takes damage.
Changeling
The Morrigan selects a God from the current match and becomes a copy of them.
She copies all of their current stats and may use all of their abilities for the duration.
She retains her own Relics and cannot use Consumables. The Rank of her abilities will transfer to the skills of the god she copies.
This ability's cooldown will be increased to match the target God's ultimate if she uses it while transformed.
A huge quality of life buff is being added for The Morrigan in this update. She will now have the ability to retain jungle buffs and potion buffs throughout her normal form and ult forms. Previously, if The Morrigan was relying on elixir of speed, using her ultimate would cause her to lose this effect temporarily. The same would apply to things like red buff, or power potions. Now she will be permanently buffed by this effect. It should be noted that The Morrigan does not copy the buffs or consumable effects of her opponents, only their item build. This has not changed.
Changeling
Now transfers any jungle buff or consumable potion effects she has currently active onto her transformed state in her ultimate.
Fixed an issue where her clone spawned from ability 3 would look like it’s providing enemies with a stack of Ethereal Staff, even though it does not provide a stack
Fixed an issue where The Morrigan would not be hit by certain AoE effects when exiting her Ultimate State within the area
Fixed an issue where The Morrigan Ult was giving unintended extra stacks on Charon’s Coin
The Morrigan has the unique ability to become any other god. This effect is so uniquely powerful that the ability was put on a very high cooldown ever since her launch. We are decreasing this in the early game to make sure her players can show off their skills. Keep in mind this ability still increases its cooldown to match that of the opponent's Ultimate cooldown, but that never happens in the first few ranks.
Changeling
Fixed an issue where she can use a Relic just as she's coming out of her Ultimate and it won't go on cooldown.
Fixed an issue where if she dies while using Neith Ultimate, players retain a red and blue glow.
Fixed cooldowns not resetting when she transforms into King Arthur.
Changeling
Decreased Cooldown from 160/140/120/100/80s to 140/125/110/95/80s.
SMITE's most difficult goddess has dropped lower than we anticipated. One factor that is limiting her is her ability to more directly compete as a mage during the laning phase. Her early clear being weak was not a specific design choice, but a result of balancing the flexibility she brings to a team. It can be seen now that it was too low and hurt her too much. We are increasing the amount of damage Dark Omen deals to minions by a significant amount to help The Morrigan more closely match the pace of other mid laners.
The Morrigan's ultimate now copies the target gods item stack number and evolved items.
The Morrigan will now gain the correct amount of gold while in her ultimate form.
Fixed issues where The Morrigan could be hit by certain effects more than once when reverting out of her ultimate.
Dark Omen
Increased Minion Bonus Damage from 20/35/50/65/80 to 40/70/100/130/160.
The Morrigan was shapeshifting all over the Conquest map in Season 4, but with the many changes to the meta she fell out of favor slightly. She can struggle to clear early, but her late-game damage and utility more than makes up for it. What we want to adjust instead is her mobility. The Morrigan played well as a roaming ganker in Season 4, but the larger Map in Season 5 made this harder for her. She is getting movement speed increases across the board on her Confusion ability to bring her back to the battleground.
Confusion
Increased Movement Speed from 20/25/30/35/40% to 30/32.5/35/37.5/40%.
The Morrigan was slow to start but has really ramped up in performance over the recent SPL splits and at Dreamhack Valencia. Her ability to transform to fit any situation is powerful, but what really impacted games was her long Stealth.
Players could use this far away from a team and burst a squishy character without much (if any) warning. With some CDR, she could be doing this nonstop. We are reducing the duration of this Stealth effect while making it more expensive to spam in the later stages of the game.
This adjustment should allow the top end players to have more counterplay options when fighting against The Morrigan.
Confusion
Decreased Stealth duration from 4/5/6/7/8s -> 4/4.5/5/5.5/6.
Adjusted Mana cost from 70 at all ranks -> 60/65/70/75/80.
