Bastet has a 15% reduced respawn time for 9 respawns
Pounce
Bastet pounces to her target location, damaging enemies within 20 feet for 110/170/230/290/350 (+100% of your physical power) physical damage. For 4 seconds after pouncing, you can press the button again to pounce back to your initial location. Cost - 70/75/80/85/90 mana. Cooldown - 12s.
Razor Claws
Bastet swipes at her enemies, causing them to bleed for 30/50/70/90/110 (+35% of your physical power) physical damage for 4s. Cost - 60/65/70/75/80 mana. Cooldown - 15/14/13/12/11s.
Nine Tails
Bastet lashes her weapon, unleashing a projectile that does 70/120/170/220/270 (+100% of your physical power) physical damage and slow the enemy by 35% for 3s in an 8 foot radius. Cost - 70/75/80/85/90 mana. Cooldown - 10s.
Cat Call
Bastet summons 3 cats that attack nearby targets for 10s, slowing them by 20% and doing 25/35/45/55/65 (+20% of your physical power) physical damage per hit. Sensing the smell of blood, the cats will attack bleeding enemies first. The summoned cats gain more health per rank. Cost - 90/95/100/105/110 mana. Cooldown 90s.
Similar to Isis, her rework released strong but with multiple nerfs she is now struggling to make an impact. Pounce's scaling gives Bastet the extra kick she needs late game and should help her succeed in her Assassin role.
Pounce
Increased Physical Power scaling from 90% to 100%.
Bastet's ultimate will now apply the full damage from items when hitting enemies with her 1st and 2nd ability.
It should be noted that her 3rd ability deals all damage through pets, and is intended to not trigger item effects, as pets do not inherit the god's items passives. No change was made recently to this rule.
Bastet’s cats currently cannot deal with minions that well, often dying to a few stray archer shots before even attacking once. We are taking a lesson from Kaldr and reducing the damage dealt by minions, requiring 5 hits to take away a single pip.
Fixed text on her achievement that specified her ultimate was required to spawn cats
Ensnaring Claw
Cats will now take 5 hits from minions before losing a hit point (still loses 1 hp per basic attack from gods)
Fixed a description error where it listed a 1 second root duration rather than 0.5s.
Bastet has pounced back into action in a big way with her rework. Through our Season 7 PTS we reduced her initial damage by a significant amount. Now that she is out in the wild, we are seeing her succeed but in a much healthier position than she would have been without PTS adjustments. Given her current strength we are making a small adjustment to Pounce to take the edge off her power.
Pounce
Decreased Physical Power Scaling from 100% to 90%.
Bastet has realized that simply sending her cats out to fight isn't the strongest of ultimates. She has done some pet training and is starting of the Season with some new tactics. Her base kit is better suited towards an Assassin, gaining tools to better chase enemies and engage fights from a distance. Her new Ensnaring Claw ability also allows Bastet to bring cats into the playspace more often, keeping a familiar playstyle of Bastet intact. Her new ultimate augments her playstyle, spawning in trained Guardian's of Bast that emulate her movements and attacks, giving her large AoE capability, bonus damage, and of course the ability to summon more cats. For more detailed insight into this rework, how we approach reworks as a whole, and a deep dive into each ability check out the developer insight for Bastet.
Tracking Scent
This ability has been reworked, replacing Open Wound.
When Bastet hits an enemy she marks the target for a brief time. Marked targets leave behind a scent trail Bastet can follow, gaining Movement Speed while in the scent trail.
Scent Duration: 3s
Movement Speed: 20%
Razor Whip
Decrease Mana Cost from 60/65/70/75/80 to 40/45/50/55/60.
Changed this ability from a sweep to an instant cone.
Updated the FX to accurately show where the ability deals damage.
Updated the weapon trail FX so it does not linger after the ability fire.
Ensnaring Claw
This ability has been reworked, replacing Declaw.
Bastet sends a cat forward at her enemies. If a cat finds an enemy it ensnares them, damaging them and briefly rooting them. The cat persists for 4s or until defeated, continuing to attack nearby enemies. The cats attacks will apply a 2s slow to the enemy. If Guardians of Bast is active, she will command her guardians to also charge forward.
Root Damage: 60/95/130/165/200 (+65% of your Physical Power)
Cat Damage: 20/25/30/35/40 (+30% of your Inhand Power)
Cat Hit Points: 2
Root Duration: 1s
Slow: 25%
Cooldown: 12s
Mana Cost: 60/65/70/75/80
Guardians of Bast
This ability has been reworked, replacing Cat Call.
Bastet calls her loyal Guardian cats to her side. These guardians will follow Bastet's order, assisting her in any ability she casts and dealing a percentage of Bastet's damage.
As we continue to look for quality of life improvements and ways to polish up old gods, we have updated the targeting elements on abilities like Bastet's Declaw. This ability fires a line shot projectile but it detonates into a circle that wasn't previously conveyed. This will now be shown clearly, and similar treatments will be applied to abilities on Kukulkan and Scylla.
Declaw
Added a circle targeter element to the ability targeter to convey this ability's area of effect when it hits an enemy.
Bastet can be powerful in the right hands, but mana costs early and her overall presence late make it difficult for her to really excel. We want to address these two issues.
Declaw now has a flat mana cost, allowing it to be used more often during ganks and just for poke.
Razor Whip is getting a large scaling increase to ensure her damage output stays relevant at the latest stages of the game.
Razor Whip
Increased Physical Power scaling from 20% to 25%.
Declaw
Decreased Mana cost from 70/75/80/85/90 to 60 at all ranks.
Bastet is the truest version of an ability based assassin, with powerful abilities that have longer animation times to justify their power.
She is however bound by cooldown, limiting how often she can impact and threaten enemies in a teamfight. We are reducing the cooldown of Razer Whip to not only help her Early game clear
(but not increase her already strong gank potential) but to also allow her to threaten players more often in the late game.
Bastet's cats can range from being incredibly potent to having no impact. Our main goal is to reduce this variance, especially in the late game. Bastet will now receive a stacking Physical Power buff when her cats are defeated by enemies, giving a nice bonus to her high-scaling abilities.
Cat Call
Bastet will now gain a stacking Physical Power buff each time a cat is killed by an enemy or structure. This will not trigger when the cats naturally despawn. Stacks up to 3 times and lasts 9s.
Bastet had a large amount of value tied to her ability to remove backdoor protections. With the change coming in 4.3 to backdoor protections, we wanted to provide Bastet with more power elsewhere. Open Wounds will now help her abilities hit harder allowing her to be a more effective Assassin.
Bastet is seeing a shift in her strengths to better align her as an early to mid game God. With an increase to her base mana pool, mana regeneration and a slight reduction in the cost of Pounce, Bastet will have more mana available for early game fights, ganks and clear. Additionally, Razor Whip is seeing an increase in base damage at the cost of late game scaling to help Bastet compete with other early and mid game damage dealers.
Increased base mana from 215 -> 230.
Increased MP5 per level from .18 -> .25.
Pounce
Decreased mana cost from 70/75/80/85/90 -> 60/65/70/75/80.
Razor Whip
Increased Damage from 25/45/65/95/105 -> 30/50/70/90/110.
Bastet can no longer pounce back while under the effects of crowd control.
Bastet is now CC immune for 1s after she lands from the initial Pounce. She can still Pounce Back for up to 4s, but is only guaranteed being able to do it for the 1s CC immunity.
Razor Whip
Casting time increased from 0.2s to 0.35s.
Damage reduced from 30/50/70/90/110 to 25/45/65/85/105.
Fixed an issue with her pounce would go on cooldown when using recall, Blink or Teleport.
Razor Whip
Fixed an issue where this ability was hitting far outside the indicated cone (closer to 150deg than 70). The cone should now be a lot more accurate. Additional “fudge factor” will be addressed in future patch.
Cooldown adjusted from 15/14/13/12/11 to 15 at all ranks.
When Bastet hits an enemy with Pounce, Razor Claws or Nine Tails, she wounds the target for 3 seconds. If the target has a wound, those abilities deal 15% more damage and remove the wound instead.
Pounce
This ability now shows a countdown for further communicating the remaining time available to pounce back.
Using teleport will now cancel your return pounce timer.
