  • Energy Surge (Druid) Artio pulses out a strong wave of energy that damages (70/100/130/160/190 +35% of your Magical Power) enemies. She will heal (60/80/100/120/140 + 25% of your Magical Power) herself and allies within 55 units for each enemy god hit by this Ability. Cost: 50/55/60/65/70 Cooldown: 10s Maul (Bear) Artio slashes twice with her claws, damaging (50/80/110/140/170 + 35% of your Magical Power) enemies with each swipe.
  • Entangling Vines (Druid) / Ferocious Roar (Bear)

  • Entangling Vines (Druid) Artio creates a thicket of vines around herself that Cripples enemy Gods and decreases their Magical or Physical Power as long as they are in the area. Druid Area Duration: 6/6.5/7/7.5/8s Druid Power Debuff: 5/10/15/20/25% Cost: 50/55/60/65/70 Cooldown: 14s Ferocious Roar (Bear) Artio lets out a ferocious roar that Stuns all nearby enemies and increases her own Physical and Magical Protections for 4s.   • Life Tap (Druid) / Heavy Charge (Bear)

  • Life Tap (Druid) Artio channels for 2s, draining the life from enemies. While channeling she deals Damage (15/25/35/45/55 +10% of your Magical Power) up to 5 times and Heals (15/20/25/30/35 +10% of your Magical Power) herself up to 5 times. Each hit increasingly Slows enemies and enemies hit all 5 times are Rooted for 1s. Cost: 50/55/60/65/70 Cooldown: 15s Heavy Charge (Bear) Artio charges forward at an increased Movement Speed for 3s.   • Active: Artio Shapeshifts between her Druid stance and Bear stance. Passive: Every time Artio hits an enemy with her Abilities, she becomes invigorated, increasing her Movement Speed and MP5 by 5 per stack. Stacks up to 8 times and stacks last 4s.   • Bear or Druid: Which will you choose? Artio is designed with some buffs and debuffs that require hitting enemies with abilities from both stances. In order to maximize those you had to consider delaying your abilities to a slower flow that was rarely worth the payoff. We are increasing the durations of these effects so Artio can play normally and still reap the rewards.

  • This god is ever shapeshifting from meta to meta. With very few balance changes to the goddess directly, we have seen her rise and fall a few times. Certain pros have a preference for her, which certainly helps. We are reverting a nerf to her heal to empower her as a support, and make sure she feels like a viable duo lane choice.

  • Artio is coming roaring back. While she plays on the fringe of the competitive meta her overall performance elsewhere has struggled. Here we focused on a boost to her more aggressive ability to make it a competitive leveling choice while boosting utility through her abilities. Healing should be more reliable while Heavy Charge can deliver some crushing early slows.

  • Even though recent nerfs have brought Artio much closer to a balanced state, she has still been slightly overperforming and will see a nerf this patch. HerPick/Ban rate in the SPL and Ranked has been incredibly high (even if her Win rate in has not matched), and her performance at most skill levels is higher than many guardians. This shows us she is still stagnating diversity among her class.
  • With this in mind, we wanted to take a look at her overall tankiness. She has strong crowd control and self healing with a max health pool only outclasses by Ymir. We are reducing it from 2500 at Max level to 2400, lowering how much damage she can take during a fight and limiting how much self healing she can store as raw health. She should be more vulnerable in teamfights, especially if she goes with a bruiser item build.
  • Decreased Base Health per Level from 100 to 95.

  • Artio is in a much healthier spot than her initial launch, but she is still has some room for adjustment. Life Tap and Heavy Charge are seeing cooldown increases, reducing her long range control and mobility. Decompose is also seeing a decrease in its protection debuff, limiting how much shred Artio can provide for herself and her team. Both these changes should help enemies handle the utility and presence Artio has in a teamfight.

  • Artio excels at getting into a fight and staying there, applying constant pressure to her opponents. Her overall damage, self sustain, and utility were offering little counterplay for her opponents.
  • We are toning down her damage from Maul Prey and the sustain and utility from Life Tap, giving enemy players more room to survive Artio's onslaught and answer back.

General

  • Since her release, Artio has not let up on her enemies. Her ability to consistently apply pressure and control while simultaneously keeping herself alive has limited the ability for players to fight against her.
  • We are increasing the cooldown on her primary damage skill while also making an adjustment to how the cooldown for Entangling Vines is calculated.
  • Additionally, Ferocious Roar will provide fewer protections in the later stages of the game allowing Artio to be a bit more vulnerable. These changes should create more opportunities to fight against Artio while also lowering her consistent pressure during teamfights.
  • Fixed an issue where Artio could lose the ability to Basic Attack or cast Abilities.
