  • Passive - Omi

  • Yemoja's abilities do not cost any Mana and only her Ultimate has a Cooldown. Instead Yemoja uses Omi to cast spells. She starts with 7 and is able to earn up to 3 more. Yemoja gains 1 Omi (+.01 per level) every 5 seconds and Cooldown Reduction increases Omi regeneration.   • Bouncing Bubble / Moonstrike

  • ouncing Bubble: Yemoja tosses out a bubble that bounces twice, dealing damage and slowing enemies by 30% before exploding into smaller bubbles that deal 50% damage. Enemies hit by both bubble bounces take 50% damage on the second hit. *Damage: 40/80/120/160/200 (+40% of your Magical Power) *Slow Duration: 1.2/1.4/1.6/1.8/2s *Cost: 2 Omi oonstrike: Yemoja calls upon the Moon to deal damage to enemies below.   • Mending Waters

  • Yemoja sends out a wave of water that damages all enemies it passes through, dealing extra unmitigated damage to their shields. Once the wave reaches an ally it bounces to all nearby allies healing and shielding them for 3s. *Damage: 50/80/110/140/170 (+40% of your Magical Power) *Bonus damage to Shields: 2x,2x,2x,2x,3x *Heal: 20/40/60/80/100 (+20% of your Magical Power) *Shield: 40/80/120/160/200 (+20% of your Magical Power) *Cost: 3 Omi
  • Riptide

  • Yemoja creates a water ring that Knocks Up everyone that enters it. Allies are pushed further and gain both Movement Speed and Protections for 3s. Enemies go a shorter distance and are Slowed. After entering a ring you are briefly locked out of entering another. Yemoja can place the ring at a maximum distance to reverse the direction. *Movement Speed: 20/25/30/35/40% *Protections: 20/25/30/35/40 Physical and Magical Protections *Slow: 30% for 2s *Ring Duration: 6s *Cost: 3 Omi
  • River's Rebuke

  • Yemoja unleashes her full power creating two large walls of water that block enemy movement and projectiles. After a delay the river cascades down, damaging, trembling and slowing enemies. Yemoja gains a buff to her Omi regeneration while she is in the river field that lingers briefly after she leaves it. *Damage: 240/305/370/435/500 (+70% of your Magical Power) *Slow: 90% decreasing by 30% each second *Slow Duration: 3s *Omi Regeneration: 1 extra every 2 seconds *Buff Duration: 4s after leaving the area *Cooldown: 100s

General

  • The river goddess has achieved something that very few other gods have: 100% pick/ban rate through an entire pro season. Yemoja has been hit with a few nerfs, tempering her performance in ranked and casuals, yet she is still the number one most contested god in the pro league. Riptide is especially more powerful at pro levels of play, so we are applying a nerf to that ability. Her Ultimate also has high skill cap potential with its timing and position, and is getting a slight nerf.
  • Fixed an issue where Yemoja could not be launched by her Riptide in certain situations

  • The magical waters are still causing more turbulence than serenity. Yemoja has received multiple nerfs over time, but forever remained as a top pick especially at pro play. We are bringing down her damage and control slightly to make room for more guardian picks.

  • Decreased damage from 40/75/110/145/180 to 30/65/100/135/170.
  • Reduced Slow duration from 1.4s to 1s.
  • Both of these changes apply to all hits of the ability (1st, 2nd, and small bubbles).

  • This versatile and elegant support has continued to be a top performer across many areas of play. Yemoja's strength comes from being able to both apply pressure as well as protect her team. The Shield Mending Waters is a potent late game tool, especially when she is able to apply it multiple times in a single fight. This is being toned down along with the Riptide speed buff. To make it slightly harder for Yemoja to keep her allies alive through fights.

  • This unique healer-guardian is defined by her ability to cast her abilities repeatedly. We do not plan to add any specific rules to change this, but we can limit how many abilities she can cast by slowing down the gain of her Omi. We are combining that with another base damage nerf to her primary damage ability, to ensure Yemoja deals less damage even when building no magical power.Olympians pathnotes.png

  • Increased the level at which Yemoja gains additional Omi from levels 4 and 12 to 6 and 14.

  • Yemoja received a group of nerfs during the 7.1 update and we have been closely monitoring her stats ever since. She continues to be one the top banned gods, highly played, and maintaining over 50% win rate so we are looking to nerf her again. In this round we are making sure to target Yemoja’s offense as well as her defense. Magical Power scaling reductions across the kit should ensure players can’t abuse this guardian in the mage role, and decreasing the slow duration at high ranks should make her easier to play around in the team-fight stage.

  • Yemoja when she is able to lock down a target with moonstrike, or sustain a team with Mending Water, can be difficult to fight against. We are reducing the effectiveness of both of these abilities to not only improve counterplay but encourage diverse usage of her abilities.

  • Fixed an issue where Yemoja could lose 2 Omi unintentionally.
  • Fixed issues where her 3rd ability would cause strange movement interactions if players were affected by intoxicate or tremor.

  • This goddess has launched at quite a low balance point yes it's true! Yemoja is one of the lowest win-rate gods across all game modes and skill levels. Through our usual process we focused on gathering data and addressing quality of life concerns and bugs instead of quickly buffing underperforming launches. This has been our strategy all year and its led to very positive community feedback. However, now that we have enough data we have decided the goddess of rivers really does need some changes.
  • One of the primary dislikes about Yemoja was her build paths. Her passive forced builds to be very constrained, so 2 of her 3 Bonus Omi are being shifted to be earned through level, while only 1 requires a mana item to be built. Another issue we noticed was that players were rarely making contact with her abilities. Her offensive abilities have strange shapes and scaling sizes which makes them especially difficult to land, so both forms of ability 1 are seeing slight increases. Her healing was also lower than expected for a Goddess designed to play that role, so this is being slightly increased as well. Olympians pathnotes.png
  • Yemoja will be banned on Infinite Mana Match of the Day Modes.
  • King Arthur will also be banned in these modes.
  • Fixed an issue where her basic attacks were not hitting enemy deployables in some cases.
  • Fixed an issue where her ultimate ability could move towers.

  • Changed objectives to earn Omi from 300/450/600 mana and MP5 to:
  • Bonus Omi 1: Reaching lvl 4.
  • Bonus Omi 2: Reaching lvl 12.
  • Bonus Omi 3: Obtaining 300 Mana/MP5 from items.

  • Increase min radius from 10 to 12.

  • Fixed an issue where buying Yemoja would show the wrong god icon in the notifications section.

  • This targeter now changes color when it is aimed in the location that would place the deployable in the opposite direction.

  • Fixed an issue where players could be blocked by the ultimate walls but not be hit by the sweep.
  • Increased wall pushback force on initial deploy.
