Medusa suffers no movement penalty when side strafing and half of the movement penalty when moving backward.
Medusa shoots out 3 vipers in rapid succession that poisons the targets hit dealing 10/18/26/34/42 (+15% of your Physical Power) as damage every 0.5s for 1.5s. Cooldown 10s. Cost: 40/45/50/55/60.
Medusa hurls back and spits out a ball of acid deals 90/135/180/225/270 (+70% of your Physical Power) as damage and sprays out acid in a cone behind them. Cooldown 14s. Cost 70/75/80/85/90.
Medusa quickly slithers forward grabbing and slashing the first enemy she gets to dealing 120/150/180/210/240 (+80% of your Physical Power) as damage. The slash leaves the enemy reeling in pain, reducing their healing by 10/20/30/40/50% for 3s. Cooldown 15s. Cost 85.
Medusa removes her mask revealing her true face, delivering a powerful blast from her horrifying Gorgan gaze. Enemies Take 300/400/500/600/700 (+100% of your Physical Power) as damage and are stunned for 2s if they are looking at Medusa. Enemies not looking at medusa take half damage and are slowed by 50% for 3s. Enemy gods that are killed by Medusa's gaze will turn into a stone statue and remain behind as a reminder to others. Cooldown 90s. Cost 100.
Our quest continues to bring Medusa up to a point of competitive viability. Acid Spray doesn’t rank up in damage very well, but Medusa needs to tank this first anyway. We are increasing the base damage per rank to make sure Medusa can clear waves effectively as she transitions from the early game to mid game.
Increased Base Damage from 90/135/180/225/270 to 90/140/190/240/290
The famous gorgon has been just on the cusp of the Conquest meta for what feels like forever. In this Mid Season update we are making a variety of changes to Medusa to restore her to her former glory. As we aim to bring new Hunters into the meta, all 3 of core abilities are being buffed in some capacity. Heroes of SMITE beware, Medusa might be your new rival.
Medusa has been seriously underperforming compared to other hunters lately. She brings strong ability damage but usually lacks the true bite of a hunter. To bring her basic attack power up in the game game we are buffing Viper Shot to have even more shots! This should result in Medusa being quite the scary opponent to trade with.

Increased Number of Shots from 3 at all ranks to 3/3/3/4/4.
There is nothing more terrifying than a giant snake lady charging towards you with claws at the ready. Lacerate is a tool that Medusa players use when they feel they can use their escape aggressively, and we want to make sure the Damage for that choice is worth it. Additionally, allowing it to reduce healing more early on can add additional utility that might make her more valuable in certain matchups. Petrify is also seeing a buff, allowing her Damage to be more consistent if players do manage to look away in time.
Increased Base Damage from 80/120/160/200/240 -> 80/130/180/230/280.
Increased Healing Reduction from 10/20/30/40/50% -> 50% at all ranks.
Increased Damage on turned away targets from 50% -> 75% of the total.
