When exiting the fountain, Jing Wei prepares for takeoff and then ascends into the sky, allowing her to fly over obstacles at an increased speed.
Duration: 5s.
Persistent Gust
Jing Wei creates a gust of wind that deals (90/140/190/240/290 +90% of your Physical Power) damage and knocks up enemies when summoned. The gust persists for 6s and continues to knock up and deal additional (10/20/30/40/50 +5% of your Physical Power) damage to enemies every 1s. If Jing Wei walks onto the area, she is knocked up and gains an attack speed buff for 5s. Cost: 70/75/80/85/90. Cooldown: 14s.
Attack Speed Buff: 25%.
Explosive Bolts
Jing Wei loads her crossbow with explosive bolts that augment her next 3 Basic Attacks. These attacks are wider, have increased critical chance, and deal area of effect damage. Cost: 70. Cooldown: 16s.
Critical Chance: 5/10/15/20/25%.
Agility
Jing Wei dashes straight forward. She may use this ability while mid-air for a longer range dash and a 5s immunity to basic attack movement penalties. Cost: 75. Cooldown 20/18/16/14/12s.
Air Strike
Jing Wei channels briefly before taking to the sky. She then flies forward and upward while covering the area below her in explosions that damage (200/280/360/420/500 +100% of your Physical Power) all enemies in the area. After her attack, she hovers for up to 2s before landing at a ground target location. Cost: 100/110/120/130/140. Cooldown: 90s.
This tenacious youngster never really drops out of the meta. Jing Wei's passive makes her a safe pick in any scenario. Her damage and utility feel quite balance but often time the goddess feels just too safe, unable to be punished even by skilled opponents. We are decreasing Jing Wei's mobility in multiple ways to make her have more counterplay.
Agility
Decreased Movement Speed Buff from 20% to 15%.
Decreased Air Movement Speed Buff from 30% to 25%.
For those waiting for a Jing Wei buff, we gotchu fam. Agility serves as Jing Wei's primary positioning Ability. With the removal of “Fatalis” from this Ability, Jing Wei suffered in overall combat effectiveness.
We are reintroducing her Ability to fight with Agility by giving her bonus Power and Movement Speed for a short duration after it is used. This effect is made more powerful when used from the air. Jing Wei players will now need to balance saving this escape tool or using it to be aggressive.
Agility
Adjusted Cooldown from 20/19/18/17/16s -> 18/18/17/17/16s at all Ranks.
Now provides 10/15/20/25/30 Physical Power and 20% Movement Speed on use. This effect is increased to 20/25/30/35/40 Physical Power and 30% Movement Speed when used while in the air.
During the Season 4 patch, we promised to keep an eye on all of our changes, and help those that ended up being affected too negatively by any change. Jing Wei is a God we have been keeping a particularly close eye on due to her ability to decide metas with her playstyle.
We are reverting some of our previous nerfs to her base stats to give her back some boxing potential and are buffing one of her main tools of aggression to encourage her to get in and fight.
We will continue to watch her as these buffs roll out and will continue to adjust her if these changes aren't enough to bring her back into line with other Hunters.
Since her inception, Jing Wei has had a very unique Passive that has given her strong lane pressure. We have adjusted multiple things in the past to make this a bit more even, but with Season 4 we are hitting her Passive duration by a second, slightly limiting how close she can get to a fight after backing. With this, we also removed Fatalis, which gave her very strong boxing potential and lowered her Base Health Scaling and Movement to make up for her clear strength of survivability.
Decreased Health Scaling from 78 -> 72 per level.
Decreased Base Movement Speed from 370 -> 365.
Rapid Reincarnation
Decreased Duration from 5s -> 4s.
Agility
No longer provides Immunity to Basic Attack Movement Penalty.
Decreased Mana Cost from 75 at all ranks -> 75/70/65/60/55.
Jing Wei has become one of, if not the most, dominant Hunter of Season 3. Her initial reception was that she was weak and she received many buffs, bug fixes, and quality of life improvements over time. Jing Wei now feels great to play, but the main issue with her is that she is too safe. We are nerfing the cooldown on Agility and reducing the Critical chance on Explosive Bolts to combat some frustrations of playing against her. Additionally, we will not be adjusting her Passive in this patch. We would rather keep her unique strength rather than remove or nerf it.
Explosive Bolts
Changed Crit Strike Chance from 5/10/15/20/25 -> 0/5/10/15/20.
Agility
Cooldown increased from 20/18/16/14/12 -> 20/19/18/17/16.
Jing Wei is seeing some changes to make her abilities feel more fluid to use. Explosive Bolts will be less punishing on her Mana pool allowing for them to be used more often. Agility and Air Strike are seeing a reduction to their startup time, allowing them to be used reactively to escape or chase enemies.
Since Jing Wei's release she's been underperforming, and so in her first post-release patch she'll be getting several upward adjustments! Jing Wei focuses on mobility and basic attack damage to succeed in her role, and we want to improve that. Her ability to farm and move around the map is great, but her ability to directly box and be effective in teamfights is more limited. Increasing her base power as well as the buffs she receives, should highlight her great late game scaling and give her more room to box effectively.
Base Physical Power per level increased from 2.5 to 2.7.
Fixed an issue where her passive would not activate when leaving the fountain in Assault.
Persistent Gust
Increased attack speed buff from 25% to 20/25/30/35/40% per rank.
Increased duration of attack speed buff from 5s to 7s.
Explosive Bolts
Fixed an issue with this ability providing ammo without going on cooldown.
Agility
Using Agility from the ground now removes basic attack movement penalty for 3s.
Increased buff duration from 5s to 6s when Agility is used from the air.
Air Strike
Increased damage from 200/280/360/420/500 to 220/310/400/490/580.
Jing Wei is seeing a few adjustments to how her abilities interact to make them more consistent with how other abilities in the game function along with some bug fixes. Most notably using Agility when flying into a Persistent Gust will now cause you to gain an additional "bump" instead of avoiding the knockup effect. Additionally Jing Wei's ultimate will no longer show a warning deployable on the ground to warn enemies that incoming Air Strikes will happen.
Rapid Reincarnation
Jing Wei is now CC immune during Rapid Reincarnation.
Persistent Gust
The knockup for this ability can no longer be avoided by jumping as jumping should have no gameplay implications.
This ability will no longer pop Magi's Blessing (or other CC triggered effects) when used on a friendly Jing Wei.
Air Strike
Fixed this ability showing a warning deployable to enemies.
Fixed this ability going on cooldown if Jing Wei dies during the warmup channel.
Fixed being able to use Air Strike during the ascent of Rapid Reincarnation.
