After taking a critical hit, Hou Yi can't be critically hit again for 3s.
Hou Yi draws back his bow for a powerful shot that deals 70/110/150/190/230 +60% of his Physical Power as damage. After firing, if this arrow bounces off of a wall it gains +70 units distance and +50% bonus damage per bounce up to a maximum of 3 bounces. This arrow will stun for 1s if the target has Mark of the Golden Crow. Cost: 60/65/70/75/80. Cooldown: 14s.
Mark of the Golden Crow
Hou Yi marks an enemy with Mark of the Golden Crow. Marked enemies take extra damage for every 10% of their missing health from Hou Yi's abilities and basic attacks. At rank 3, marked enemies are visible to Hou Yi on the minimap including stealthed gods. At rank 5, Hou Yi gains +15% penetration against the marked enemy god. Cost: 50. Cooldown: 18s.
Hou Yi launches into the air, holding his bow above his head as he glides forward. After a short time Hou Yi quickly dives to the ground dealing 70/110/150/190/230 +30% of his physical power as damage to any enemies in the immediate area. If the target has Mark of the Golden Crow they are knocked back. Cost: 70/75/80/85/90. Cooldown: 15s.
Hou Yi shoots nine arrows into the sky, striking one sun with each arrow. The nine suns come crashing down one by one, dealing 80/90/100/110/120 +25% of his physical damage in a target area every 0.5s for 4.5s. A target with Mark of the Golden Crow will have their movement speed slowed by 20% for .25s on every hit.
The Ricochet masters is receiving a major quality of life buff this patch to make his kit feel more fluid. Hou Yi will now longer be rooted while firing his ultimate, allowing him to keep moving and rotating while this ability deploys. This will give Hou Yi more ways to follow up his Ultimate.
Hou Yi is no longer rooted and can move his camera freely while firing this ability.
Hou Yi is seeing a very targeted adjustment to Ricochet this patch. While he often struggles at most levels of play, his ability to quickly clear the Jungle early has made him a top pick in the Smite Pro League. His power there is limiting Hunter diversity, stagnating the amount of potential strategies that can be used. Ricochet will no longer deal it's bonus damage per ricochet to minions, jungle monsters, or objectives. The bonus damage per ricochet will still apply to gods, but his ability to clear camps early and incredibly quickly will be lowered to give other Hunter and Support combinations a stronger opportunity to answer his level of early clear.
Hou Yi has been under-performing lately. While his Abilities can be quite strong, his base stats were outliers for most other Hunters. We are bringing these up to ease his build paths and provide a subtle bump in power.
Hou Yi is an ability Hunter that is heavily influenced by when and how he uses Mark of the Golden Crow. Our goal for Mark is to augment and synergize with his other abilities, rather than just being used for a single combination (notably his 1). To emphasize this, we are increasing the potency of interaction with Sunbreaker. This ability now has a base slowing effect that gets even stronger when Mark is applied.
Now Slows all targets inside it by 20% for .5s on every hit.
Increased Slow on target's marked by Mark of the Golden Crow from 20% -> 40% and increased duration from .25s -> .5s
Hou Yu is seeing a power shift this patch to address his performance at the highest end of play while also maintaining his core strengths. Mark of the Golden Crow was often putting a timer on the game, that when reached, allowed Hou Yi to become very difficult to box. We have removed the 25% penetration and reduced the duration of the mark to reduce some of this power, while also opening up a window where Mark would be down allowing for counterplay.
To adjust for this change, Ricochet is seeing an increase to its base damage and scaling, allowing it to be more potent when not paired with his Mark. We have also adjusted the bonus damage per Ricochet so that it should closely match its current strength across a variety of Physical Power.
We will watch these changes closely to see how it affects both his pro level performance as well as his general usability.
Base damage increased from 70/110/150/190/230 -> 75/120/165/210/255.
Scaling increased from 60% -> 65%.

Mark of the Golden Crow
Removed the bonus 25% penetration provided at Rank 5.
This ability now reveals all marked targets at all Ranks.
Hou Yi is a Hunter who lacks a hard steroid to really allow him to box, instead focusing on landing powerful (and Stunning) Ricochets to make up for this. By lowering the Cooldown Hou Yi players should feel more impactful more often while also taking less of a risk when they go for those double bounce trick shots.

Fixed an issue with projectile accuracy from the sides.
