Cu Chulainn does not have a Mana Bar, instead having a Rage Bar. His Rage is capped at 100 and only regenerates up to 25 Rage.
Hitting Abilities, Basic Attacks, or allies and himself taking damage cause Cu Chulainn to gain Rage. After being above 85 Rage for 3 seconds, he goes Berserk.
While Berserk, Cu Chulainn gains Power and Maximum Health and his Abilities change.
Barbed Spear / Ground Slam
Cu Chulainn thrusts his spear forward, damaging all enemies in front of him and stunning less powerful minions.
Successfully hitting an enemy with this ability restores 6 Rage (to a max of 18). Barbs from his spear stick in opponents and reduce their Healing taken for 4s.
In his Berserk Form, Cu Chulainn instead slams his massive arms down, damaging and rooting all Enemies in front of him
Vent Anger
Cu Chulainn vents his anger as superheated steam, increasing his Movement Speed and draining his Rage.
Every .5s while in this state, all enemies within range are damaged by the heat.
Salmon's Leap / Furious Charge
Cu Chulainn vaults over his spear, leaping to a target location and slamming it down to damage enemies around and in front of him.
Successfully hitting an enemy with this Ability restores 6 Rage (to a max of 18). In his Berserk Form, Cu Chulainn instead charges forward, damaging and driving all enemies back with him.
Spear of Mortal Pain / War Cry
Cu Chulainn swings his spear in a circle around him, Damaging and knocking up all enemies. Successfully hitting an enemy with this Ability restores 12 Rage (to a max of 36).
Cu Chulainn is another god that was able to leverage Gladiator's Shield really well. With multiple abilities to trigger it, he gained bonus sustain during teamfights. We are lowering the cooldown on his primary poke to give him more options during extended fights.

Even a berserker needs some love. Cu Chulainn has largely fallen out of the meta in solo lane, and adjustments are being made to get him back in the action. The nerf to Physical Power on his passive looked like the nail in the coffin for him, causing him to drop off more than previous nerfs, so that is being partially reverted. We are also allowing him to gain a larger burst of rage through his ultimate ability which should help ensure that Cu Chulainn makes an impact on each and every team fight.
Cu Chulainn recently got some love with bug fixes. We have watched his overall performance and he has improved; which is great! However, he has struggled to compete with other Warriors and has fallen out of favor across the board. The bug fixing improvements are awesome, but we feel he needs one more adjustment to really put him at the right spot. While working on fixing clarity issues with Cu Chulainn we noticed that the ability icon animation for abilities that can be leveled up versus channeling abilities were very similar.
This was more apparent with Cu Chulainn due to his Berserk state Vent Anger constantly channeling for the entire duration.
Berserk
Fixed an issue where an ability used right before Cu Chulainn's transformation into Berserk form would delay the transformation for a prolonged period of time.
You should now transform immediately after the ability animation is over.
Fixed an issue where an ability used right before Cu Chulainn's transformation into normal form would cause the normal form ability animation to play instead of the Berserk ability animation.
The Berserk form ability animation should correctly play before the immediate transformation back to normal form.
Fixed an issue where the Passive meter would not properly drain if Cu Chulainn uses an ability to stall his transformation.
Fixed an issue where Cu Chulainn did not say his Berserk VO Line in online matches. Should be noted that Cu Chulainn does not say any VO lines when he exits his Berserk form. This is intended.
Furious Charge
Added a small knockback at the end of this ability to help prevent situations where Cu Chulainn would move past the enemy at the end of the charge animation.
Fixed an issue where the stun during the charge was not applying for the correct duration.
Early on in Season 5, Cu Chulainn was quite the powerhouse, receiving 3 nerfs to bring him more into line. As the Season has shaped out however, Cu Chulainn has struggled to keep up.
Overall, his Berserk form is still quite impactful and that is what most of the nerfs were targeted towards. Rather than reverting that and bringing back frustration,
we want to increase the power of Base Cu Chulainn and his teamfight potential. Spear of Mortal Pain's cooldown is being reduced. This will allow him to bring more control to fights, while giving him a large boost to his Rage.

Cu Chulainn is a powerhouse in the early game where he can heavily pressure his opponent with his Berserk passive that provides buffs and more abilities. As a god that wants to berserk and fight often, this is expected from him, but the amount of pressure is overwhelming, especially early on. We are lowering the amount of bonus Physical Power he gets while Berserk, helping opponents trade more favorably against The Hound of Ulster.

Decreased Passive Power bonus in Berserk form from 5+2 per level to 0+2 per level.
Cu Chulainn tends to be very powerful at high skill levels but is quite balanced in most other metrics. We are removing the feature of his Berserk that granted him access to abilities he hadn't ranked up yet. This specific feature was often abused at early levels by high level Cu Chulainn players, causing him to snowball heavily in lane.
Berserk
When transformed, Cu Chulainn will no longer gain access to abilities he has not put a single point in (except for his 2).
Recent adjustments to Cu Chulainn in 4.19 and 4.22 have gotten him much closer to a balanced state. His showing at HRX was strong but not as dominant as other gods on this list. We are reducing his base HP5 which will make trading with him more impactful and we are increasing the cooldown on Spear of Mortal Pain. This ultimate has many strengths in that it provides CC immunity, can CC multiple enemies, and gives CuChu a good chance of going Berserk aftward. In the future players will need to rely more on constant Rage management instead of relying as heavily on the ult.
Cu Chulainn's Rage gain is seeing a large adjustment. Players should find that Cu Chulainn will have a more difficult time going Berserk in the laning phase, decreasing his ability aggress as early as level 2. However, players will have an easier time going Berserk when fighting enemy gods. Additionally, the shield he gains from going berserk is seeing a reduction in strength early on. These changes should help players have more room to fight him in the early game.

Decreased Base Shield health from 40 to 20.
Increases Shield health per level from 23 to 24.
Barbed Spear
Reduced Rage gained for every non-god target hit from 6 to 5.
Increased Rage gained for every god target hit from 6 to 8.
Salmon's Leap
Reduced Rage gained for every non-god target hit from 6 to 5.
Increased Rage gained for every god target hit from 6 to 8.
Spear of Mortal Pain
Reduced Rage gained for every non-god target hit from 12 to 10.
Increased Rage gained for every god target hit from 12 to 16.
We are making target adjustments toward Cu Chulainn to both ease his ability to transform into his Berserk form, but also better reward him for doing so.
First, we fixed an issue where Cu Chulainn was not getting Rage for nearby allies taking damage.
This will help him transform more easily in the middle of a big fight.
Next, we made a quality of life change to how Rage is calculated from Ability usage. Rather than immediately deducting Rage (and therefor removing him from being above the threshold), all Rage calculations are done at once. Players will no longer need to worry about using Abilities while above 85 Rage as long as they can land their shots.
Finally, War Cry is seeing a damage increase to match Spear of Mortal Pain. Not only will this help him feel more impactful when he Berserks, he is no longer losing out on potential damage when he does.
Rage Generation is now calculated at the end of all abilities. This means players above the Berserk threshold who cast an ability will no longer dip below the threshold before gaining the Rage for hitting that ability.
Berserk
Fixed an issue where Cu Chulainn was not gaining rage from allies taking damage.
Increased the Mana to Health conversion from 10% -> 15%.
Vent Anger
Fixed an issue where this ability was ticking 13 times total rather than the intended 12.
War Cry
Increased Damage from 100/165/230/295/360 -> 175/250/325/400/475.
