  • Passive - Gift of the Gods

  • Achilles adapts to the tide of Battle. Achilles can choose to wear armor, granting him bonus Health and Protections, or forgo it, granting him bonus Movement Speed and Physical Power Armored Bonus: Achilles gains an addition 35 +10 Health per lvl and 5 +1 Protection per lvl. Unarmored Bonus: Achilles gains an addition Movement Speed 3% +.25% per level and 10 +2 Physical Power per level.

  • Achilles punches forward with the edge of his Shield, inflicting massive damage and stunning enemy targets hit by the impact. The force of his punch continues to radiate past his initial target area, dealing 80% damage to targets farther away. Damage: 100/160/220/280/340 + 90% of your Physical Power Stun Duration: 1.1/1.2/1.3/1.4/1.5s Cooldown: 15s Cost: 60/65/70/75/80
  • Radiant Glory

  • Achilles is blessed by the gods, giving him bonus Physical Power, Protections, and Crowd Control Reduction for 6 seconds. While this blessing is active, Achilles will heal himself upon successfully damaging enemies with abilities. Heal: 23/26/29/32/35 + 10% of your Physical Power Max Heals per Ability: 2/2/3/3/4 Bonus Physical Power: 15% Bonus Protections: 15% Bonus Crowd Control Reduction: 20% Cooldown: 10s Cost: 40/45/50/55/60
  • Combat Dodge

  • Achilles dodges his enemies' attacks before striking them in swift response. If Achilles successfully hits an enemy god with this strike, Achilles can use this ability once more before it goes on Cooldown. Damage: 65/105/145/185/225 + 50% of your Physical Power Cooldown: 10s Cost: 24/28/32/36/40
  • Fatal Strike

  • Achilles winds up a large attack and dashes forward. While dashing, Achilles will pass through minions, stop and hit the first enemy god he encounters, dealing damage to all he hits. If the god is below 30% Health they are Executed. If Achilles successfully Executes a god with this ability, he can use it again, up to 5 times. As Achilles successfully Executes his enemies, he becomes more reckless in combat and leaves his heel exposed. Achilles will become more susceptible to damage, stacking up to 5 times. Damage: 180/270/360/450/540 + 100% of your Physical Power Execute Threshold: 30% Damage Taken increase: 10% Cooldown: 90s Cost: 80/85/90/95/100

  • Fixed an issue where his 3rd ability could be fired multiple times in certain situations.
  • The hero of the Trojan War was also the hero of the SMITE World Championships. Ever since Achilles' most recent adjustments the god has been ever present in the Solo lane. This god rose in popularity even faster than in performance, most likely due to his constant use by SPL team, SK, on their rise to victory. Achilles tends to output huge amounts of damage, even in tankier builds, so he will be seeing a large reduction to his self power buff to make sure we other gods have a fair chance against him at the start of this new season.

  • The best looking warrior on the battleground is back and looking better than ever. There was a lot of disappointed fans when his basic attack range was nerfed for balance and artistic reasons earlier this year. Those Achilles fans can now proudly cheer on their hero again as his range is returning with some adjusted animations to match.
  • Increased Basic Attack range from 12 to 16.
  • Updated Achilles' Basic Attack animation to better represent this increased range.

  • Achilles has recently undergone some large adjustments. His top end performance was limiting god diversity and his Basic Attacks did not visually match his extended range. We were watching him carefully to see how much of an effect these changes had and he ended up dropping heavily. We want to find the proper balance point between his previous strength and his current performance. To do this we are bringing up his overall clear pressure by increasing the ranged power of Shield of Achilles, while giving him more late game tanking potential through his armored passive.
  • Fixed Achilles not being able to use Ult if he doesn't have the mana for the initial cast.

  • Achilles has been showing off in the Solo lane, displaying a sharp rise in both the SPL and in Ranked Ban rates. His late game damage potential pushes him above other Warriors, resulting in substantial burst damage that is difficult to react to. Radiant Glory's raw power increase, combined with Combat Dodge's scaling make for some heavy hitting attacks. We are lowering the damage potential of these abilities, while also updating his Basic Attack range. The animation for his attack did not match the full 16 range and put him at a distinct advantage when boxing against gods with the standard 12 range.
  • Decreased Basic Attack range from 16 to 12.

  • If you are reading ahead you may notice quite a few Warrior's on this list. One of our goals in Season 6 was to bring back Warrior into the Solo lane. While the Totem of Ku and buffs to Warrior's Blessing seem to have done this, some Warriors are still underperforming. While they aren't too far off, we want to help these Warriors to ensure a diverse pool of Solo Lane contenders. Rather than improving their burst we want to focus on their defensive capability, allowing them to get into mid and late game team fights more effectively and disrupt their opponents.
  • Achilles Radiant Glory is a conditional heal that requires him to hit multiple targets with his abilities. We want to better reward him for successfully accomplishing this, especially during the teamfight phase.

  • Fixed an issue where his shield would be stuck floating near him.

  • Achilles had a strong release, using his incredible early game to really bring the pain to his opponents. While his overall performance wasn't stand out, this pressure caused him to be a popular pick and ban in ranked and competitive, so much so that it took multiple nerfs for players to really start opting for different picks. Now that his prevalence has begun to subside we want to shift his power.
  • We are bringing down his offensive power in the early game with a nerf to Combat Dodge's cooldown and damage, as well as the bonus Radiant Glory brings at rank 1. However, his late game is getting an increase, with a direct buff to his defensive capability and the bonus scaling provides from Radiant Glory. While he will still bring early pressure, it shouldn't be as difficult to manage and his overall performance won't be determined by how hard he carries the first half of the game.

  • Achilles continues to be a highly prioritized god at all levels of play. His versatility is part of his identity, but this shirtless beauty was clearly over performing and leaving little room for player choice. We are decreasing both the Power and Movement Speed from his offensive stance to bring the two stances closer together in strength, especially during the early game.

  • The Hero of the Trojan War has been a very popular pick and ban since his ability to join Ranked and SPL matches. His early pressure combined with a strong Crowd Control allows him to quickly overpower opponents, even if his late game isn't at the same level of other picks. We are reducing the spread damage he gets with Shield of Achilles, while reducing the double-tap damage from Combat Dodge. These should help lower the early pressure he brings and allow players to bring him to the mid and late game where his Achilles' Heel really shows.

  • Achilles sure has stolen the spotlight since his launch. Through the combination of his Crowd Control, mobility, and damage he is able to answer nearly any situation. He is intended to be a powerful flex pick, excelling at both Warrior and Assassin strength depending on your playstyle, but he shouldn't always have an answer.
  • Shield of Achilles base damage and stun duration are being reduced. Players who enjoyed hitting hard with this skill can still opt into a more offensive build due to its scaling; but will sacrifice survivability in doing so. Combat Dodge is also seeing a cooldown increase, lowering his overall damage potential over the course of the game and giving opponent more windows of opportunity to catch him out.
